Maison Aurelian

Founded on a single
conviction: that a home deserves more time than a transaction allows.

An hôtel particulier in central Paris

Our Story

A practice, not a brokerage.

Aurelian Estates was founded in 1998 in a one-room office above a flower shop in the Sixth Arrondissement. The brief at the founding has not changed since: to advise a small number of families on the residences that matter to them, with the patience and discretion the work deserves.

In the decades since, we have closed in twenty-three countries, opened salons in New York and Geneva, and become — quietly, by referral — the firm a particular kind of family asks for first.

We are not a brokerage. We do not advertise listings. We accept a small number of new clients each year, every one by introduction.

Principles

Four convictions, written into the engagement letter.

I.

Patience

A property is not a quarter, and a family is not a deal pipeline. We will wait.

II.

Discretion

We do not name our clients, our principals, or our most considered closings.

III.

Counsel

We are paid to advise, sometimes to advise against. Both must be possible.

IV.

Continuity

Closing is the beginning. The advisor who began the search is the one you call ten years later.

The Principals

The same names, every year.

Our partners are personally retained on every engagement. They are who you will meet at the introduction, and who you will speak with on every call thereafter.

We accept a small number of new families each year. We would be glad to begin a conversation.
